Drumaness Mills F.C. - Northern Amateur Premier League

Welcome to the new and official website of Drumaness Mills Football Club. The website was first launched in the summer of 2007.  Drumaness Mills F.C. are a Northern Irish football club playing in the NAFL Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football league.

Drumaness Mills Football Club have been members of the Northern Ireland Amateur League since its formation in 1929. The Club Started in the second division finishing runners up in 1931/32. They are in fact one of the oldest clubs in the league.

Due to the war, the team left the league in 1941, but re-joined in 1950 for a short period, but were to return for good in 1954.

Today, the team has one of the best grounds and facilities in the league, with the newly developed club house situated behind the pitch.

Drumaness Mills got their season underway with a very disappointing home defeat to Barn United.  Report to follow...

Drumaness Mills had their annual prize-giving on 14th June in the Social Club.  Congratulations to Peter Casey who won the Player of the Year award.  He also collected the top goalscorer award.  Justin Marner received the Players' Player of the Year.  Shane Gorman received the Player of the Year for the 2nds team with Owen Wright collecting top goalscorer and also the Players' Player of the Year.  Colm Noade collected the Clubman of the Year award.  Well done to all.

Congratulation to Drumaness Ladies who have finally beaten an Abbey Villa side in the cup!  Leading 2-0 at half time, we let Villa back in as they brought the scores level and into extra time.  Drumaness lost the advantage as Villa scored to lead 3-2 until the Mills equalised to bring it to penalties.  Two great saves from Kim Morgan and goals from Ashling Ferris, Fiona Morgan, Kim Morgan and Karen McClements sealed a 4-1 victory and passage into the FA Cup 3rd round!

Drumaness Mills season 07/08 is now over.  We've finished mid table in 8th place.  Congratulations to Pistol Pete Casey who finished our top scorer in all competitions with 19 goals.

Drumaness Ladies have begun pre-season training for the new season starting end of April 2008.  Training is on at Drumaness Council pitch every Wednesday from 7pm.  All girls welcome.
