Dromara Village 3
Drumaness Mills 2

DRUMANESS Mills were left cursing their luck when they conceded a goal in added time after coming back from 2-0 down to draw level.

The Villagers grabbed the lead after 18 minutes when a ball into the box wasn't cleared and it somehow got tangled up in Burns' legs before rolling into the net.

Seven minutes later at the other end a shot from Paul Walsh was well blocked by a Dromara defender. The ball fell kindly for Aidy Walsh, but his strike went narrowly wide.

With 32 minutes gone Paul Walsh made a superb covering tackle to prevent Dromara from stretching their lead and three minutes later Donal Kennedy, who had just replaced the injured Neil Gelston, shot wide at the opposite end.

Right on the stroke of half-time, Owen Wright was brought down in the box, but Paul Walsh shot wide from the penalty spot.

The Mills were to pay for this miss as Dromara went straight down the field and Lee Feeney scored in the corner of the net after the Mills defence was again found wanting.

Drumaness were thrown a lifeline six minutes into the second half when the Dromara goalkeeper's mishit clearance fell to John Connolly and the former Downpatrick FC player fired it to the back of the net from 35 yards out.

The Mills had their tails up now and when Burns was fouled in the box Aidy Walsh converted the penalty to make it 2-2.

It looked as if Drumaness had done enough to earn a share of the spoils, but Dromara rode their luck and snatched all three points with a headed goal in added time.
